Seriously, the BISSELL Blocktail Party is a party for you and your best friend - your doggie.
Hosted each year by the BISSELL Pet Foundation, this event allows crazy dog owners and their pups to mix and mingle while also noshing on an array of hand-passed treats, including the always festive and creative yappetizers (for your pooch).
The auction always contains some of the most memorable items since, in my opinion, pet owners tend to be most generous. (Source: my dog – she winks approvingly.)
Added this year is a new mobile bidding platform that will allow you to preview auction items in advance and bid from your mobile device while at the party. Now you can network and help your dog meet others while never having to break from the fun to bid. You can have it all at Blocktail!
The money raised does some incredible good in our community, too. In fact, the money raised in 2013 was shared between several organizations, as $250,000 was gifted to 16 local animal welfare organizations where the work performed included the spaying/neutering of over 2,700 pets; placement of 1,500 dogs and cats in new homes; transitional foster care for 80 pets; and allowed area agencies to microchip nearly 400 animals.
