Flint Eastwood: Detroit glory by way of Flint and Hollywood

Friday, Dec. 4, 7 p.m. doors open
What is not to like about a city that is able to attract more and more talent from the east side of our state?

And one act that is not just packing in the fans but also capturing the attention of critics and music lovers alike is Flint Eastwood.

Flint Eastwood is a mix of Flint (city), East (East Detroit) and Wood (LA’ s Hollywood); lead singer Jax thought of the name while living in L.A. and liked how all three places influenced her sound in some fashion.

Now based out of Detroit, the alt-pop songstress has just released a brand new EP, “Small Victories,” three short weeks ago, and already it is garnering great press.

After premiering on CMJ, Entertainment Weekly called her new single, "Find What You're Looking For," a “dreamy” project that is “the sonic equivalent of your coziest cashmere cowl neck on a wintry night.”

When Pitchfork Radio played her track “Glitches” on air, they gave the Detroit rocker an amazing introduction to the new single saying, “This is what the new CHVRCHES album should have sounded like.”

Get your tickets fast since her Detroit release event just a few weeks ago attracted more than 800 people, creating a sold out moment for one of Michigan’s most original artists.

Also performing on this night are Night Riots, Valley Hush, and The Great Indoors. To hear cuts from the "Small Victories" visit Flint Eastwood's Bandcamp page

Admission: $10 in advance, $12 day of show. All ages.
