7th Annual International Wine, Beer & Food Festival: Start your entertainment engines

Thursday - Saturday, Nov. 19 - 21, see website for schedule
The holiday season is a time that we love to entertain and what better way to get a leg up than attending a specialty market that has become one the best local events (outside of the geek love-fest of Grand Rapids Comic Con) happening at DeVos Place.

What makes it so much fun but also essential?

For starters, in the coming weeks you are going to be faced with the pressure of what to bring to the numerous holiday events that dot our event calendars from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve.

This 7th year event is the largest wine, beer and food tasting event in the Midwest with more than 1,200+ wines, 200+ beers, and the ever-growing addition of ciders and spirits - many of which are Michigan made!

This access to so many brands will help take the mystery out of your purchases and ensure whatever you bring to your next holiday event is a surefire hit!

One big upgrade to the event this year that is sure to please so many is that this market is on one gigantic floor instead of spread around. This new plan ensures you will only be steps away from all the action should a friend test you to say, “Get here now!”

In addition to a chance to sample so much, this event includes opportunities to attend seminars on cooking and entertaining from leaders and celebrities of the food and beverage market and is also a chance to sit down to a multi-course meal complete with beverage pairings. But do not delay if you want to take advantage of these sit down meals as they sell out fast.

So, while you have a lot of options this weekend from artists markets (like mine at Tanglefoot - full disclosure, but it is the 24th year) and outdoor adventures as the weather warmup continues into November, the 7th Annual International Wine, Beer & Food Festival is something we can all be proud to say is our own and continues to be a major draw for those seeking to understand a bit more about Grand Rapids - but also what we create here.

Admission: Advance ticket purchase: $15 per day or $40 for a three-day pass. Offer ends Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. / Day of Show Admission Prices: Thursday, $15 and Friday & Saturday $20 per day.
