Let It Ring! Let It Swing! Let It Snow! - Let's Go!

If you have not had your fill of holiday programming just yet, then you must dash through the snow to enjoy the powerful voices of the West Michigan Gay Men’s Chorus (WMGMC) who are celebrating their fifth annual holiday concert, Let It Ring!  Let It Swing! Let It Snow!

The WMGMC concerts are always a roller coaster ride to hear and see on stage, with the men (and the occasional female guest vocalist) taking you on a soul-stirring journey with moments of humor and delight via the musical selections they showcase.

For this holiday concert they are celebrating the very popular emotion of being cheerful and have produced a program under the musical direction of the chorus’ Artistic Director RT Williams, who promises many firsts this night, including the debut the of WMGMC’S brand new small ensemble.

In addition to a true-to-their-roots and spirited evening of holiday sing-alongs, madrigals, solos and duets, the WMGMC will also welcome the Park Church Smith-Dively Ringers Handbell Choir. And all this is served with a dash of real dramatic flair that audiences have come to love and expect from the WMGMC.

“We have put together an evening of musical and comedic entertainment that is sure to bring everyone together in the holiday spirit,” says Williams. “The Smith-Dively Ringers Handbell Choir adds a special festive touch and, with its trademark rich vocal blend, the chorus has never been in better voice.”

And while reviewing the program, full of much cheerful, hilarious new music like The Fruitcake Song and Coming Out at Christmas and a lovingly rich pairing of the chorus and the handbell choir on Silent Night, the real dramatic showstoppers appear to be their solemn renditions of White Christmas and Ose Shalom.

Admission: In advance tickets are $15 /  $17 at the door.
