La Tardeada: Third Friday is now fantastico!

Friday, Dec. 19, 6 - 10 p.m.
At this point there are so many First Friday events in the city that it is hard to tell them apart as folks race from venue to venue in the hopes of being seen and being at the scene that is happening.

But when Linc Gallery decided to add a new night devoted to the Latino population and culture of our city, they noticed that the Third Friday was like an uncharted land of opportunity.

Following the pattern of their First Friday events devoted primarily to the African American experience in our city, La Tardeada offers a chance for the Hispanic community of Grand Rapids to network with others seeking to make meaningful connections at a great social event that builds community.

Friday's event will feature the live music of the Los Tribaleroz and in the gallery will be Akibang's exhibition Realistic Neglects. There will be intermittent spoken word performances by authors Zulema Moret and Hugo Riquelme as well throughout the evening.

Bring your appetite, as the newish LINC Up Soul Food Café will be serving up food at the gallery café window as well as a host of beverage choices.

Admission: Free. (Cash bar and dinner options on the menu.)
