If you are in the mood for a little bit of naughty fun that only a good old-fashioned Mardi Gras weekend in August can deliver, then you need to book passage to Douglas' The Dunes Resort for Saturday night's festive and vocally funny return of The Rubi Girls.
While many of the boys of summer and their friends will be dancing sans their shirt in the summer heat on the dance floor, another more humor-driven audience will be seated in the cabaret room as the Rubi Girls – a group of Dayton, Ohio gay men ranging from their 30s to 50s -- will be entertaining the crowd with a repertoire that spans decades.
In fact, they have been at it for so long (and I mean this in the best possible way) that this girl group has even been awarded the prestigious Community Service Award from the City of Dayton for raising more than $1,000,000 for HIV/AIDS and gay-related causes.
Not bad for a group of guys in heels.
