It seems like only yesterday that we put ArtPrize 10 to bed for a two-year rest. (ArtPrize returns in 2020 to Grand Rapids.) But no worries since the off-year, new biennial program, Project X, will debut fall 2019.
This Thursday night special reveal party is just the first of many reveals to come for this brand new art event that is focused heavily on curation.
At the ArtPrize Hub, guests who attend this kick-off reveal of
Project 1 (Fall 2019) will learn first who are the international, national, and local artists who will be creating works for their debut.
And while you will learn the locations at a later date for ArtPrize’s new multi-sited exhibition project, tonight’s reveal is about the artists who will be visiting our region in preparation for this new event.
In addition to Project 1’s artist reveal will also be a chance to see the new brand identity, created by Grand Rapids’ very own Conduit Studio.
In addition to a chance to hear first about the art project while sipping beer and wine (first drink is on ArtPrize), you will be able to enjoy the DJ sets by hi-ker and DJ Adeshola Makinde.
