Rocky Horror Show (Live) – Let’s Do The Time Warp Again

Thursday - Sunday, Mar. 17 – 20, 8 PM
You could call it the tiny production that could, but this LaughFest show is generating so much buzz, it has people getting back in line to see it again. Who knew that the stage musical of the Rocky Horror Show would become the must see ticket of this first-year event?

Eschewing the traditional trappings of a large scale production where the viewer and performers often have a comfortable space between them, this production held at the very intimate Mosaic Space on S. Division has turned out to be the perfect venue for this eyebrow-raising show.

Because of its spartan environment, this revival production based on the film of the same name focuses squarely on the material and music instead of lavish sets or overly dramatic lighting plots. If you are expecting a giant laser show in a huge fish tank with tubes of embryonic, life-giving paint, then move on.

However, for fans of the film version, you will be pleasantly surprised not only by the vocal chops of this cast of 12 who rehearsed just short of a month, but you will love how immediately you are a part of this production from the very first number.

If you remember the old days when Woodland Mall had a regular midnight screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, then you also know it was the probably last time you were able to interact with the screen. This long dry spell ends with people in the know encouraged to jump on in.

At each performance, in addition to a cash bar for li-bations and Yesterdog's frankenfurters, you can buy a goodie bag full of items to help you experience Rocky Horror the way it was meant to be for only $5.

And while on the topic of interaction, some of the cast member have voiced over drinks that a for few early shows, people were a bit shy about standing up during the Time Warp number.

This will not be happening going forward, well, at least not at Friday night's show when Rapid Growth's managing editor, Juliet Bennett Rylah and Lifestyle Editor Tommy Allen will be your hosts, tag-teaming the audience into submission during this infectious musical number.

These last few shows of the weekend will sell out, so get your tickets at any downtown Ticketmaster location.  An-tici-pation!
