Cheers to a healthier new year!

Making New Year's resolutions is easy. Keeping said resolution: not so easy.

One organization that wants to help people live a healthier (and more sustainable) lifestyle is Whole U GR, which is hosting its second annual Whole U GR Expo on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the St. Cecilia Music Center.

The organization was created three years ago by Martha Cudlipp and two of her friends, all of whom have an interest natural health. She says the idea was sparked by the her day job at St. Cecilia Music Center and her work as a massage therapist.

Cudlipp says the idea came when she attended a bridal expo at St. Cecilia: "I thought about the beautiful space and the idea of combining the intimacy of St. Cecilia and enriching the community as a whole through holistic health." She says the expo is designed to connect attendees with exhibitors and give everyone time to ask questions. "You can go and have an intimate conversation with the exhibitor," she says.

Besides the exhibitors, educational speakers are scheduled throughout the day and include Health Motion Physical Therapy, speaking on the function of the musculoskeletal system; GR Chiropractic and Acupuncture, discussing the body's inflammatory process; and Renew Yoga Studio, which will be offering both Prenatal and Baby Yoga classes at St. Cecilia Music Center

Visit www.WholeUGR.com for the most up-to-date schedule of classes, speakers and exhibitors. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.

Cudlipp says long-term, she hopes to advance the Whole U GR beyond an annual expo, and create a powerful network of businesses, suppliers and customers that interact year-round.
