The
EC Group International has gone quietly about its business for over 24 years, providing companies with hosted offshore software teams. Recently, EC Group added Mike Sudyk as an account executive, a move that reflects a strategic decision to put in place a more formal sales process and guide the organization through the expected growth surge in the upcoming years.
"I was hired to do account management and marketing. We are being stretched from our growth, most of which has been organic and through word-of-mouth. We have not had a strong sales process in place," says Sudyk. Sudyk adds that the firm will be looking to raise its profile in West Michigan.
The EC Group has offices in both Comstock Park, Mich. and Chennai, India. Sudyk says more hiring is anticipated in 2013, with an immediate need for an administrative assistant.
Sudyk says the organizational culture reflects the firm's values. "We have fun. We are a small company, and have a family atmosphere. Most of the staff has been around the business a long time. We are really invested in our counterparts in India, and are passionate about helping our industry."
