Holland will have a native daughter making a debut on NBC's new reality TV show.
According to excerpts in the Holland Sentinel:
Lessons learned in Holland will be tried out on "Fashion Star," an NBC Entertainment reality TV show set to debut in March.
The show will feature 14 designers who are competing by creating items and selling them on the streets and in stores. Designers who aren't successful will be eliminated.
"In the end, one designer will successfully combine fashion and business to become the next "Fashion Star" and receive $6 million in orders for their designs at major retailers, according to NBC Entertainment.
Enter Holland native Lizzie Parker, an established designer with a business degree from Hope College who was selected as one of the contestants.
