The American Quilter's Society Show & Contest brought more attendants to Grand Rapids than expected.

The first American Quilter's Society Show & Contest held at the DeVos Place Convention Center from Aug. 22 to 25 brought more than 21,500 attendees to West Michigan, well outpacing the pre-event estimate of 10,000 to 15,000 attendees, according to Experience Grand Rapids.
