Waterfront Film Festival gearing up for benchmark anniversary

Named as one of the five best film festivals in the world, the Waterfront Film Festival celebrates a decade of film art and a co-founder looks ahead to what filmgoers can expect this year.

According to excerpts from the story:

Saugatuck's Waterfront Film Festival was recently listed among the top five film fests in the world by Screen Actors Guild. We sat down with festival co-founder Hopwood DePree to chat about the unexpected accolade and to get an advance peek at what's brewing for this year's 10th anniversary festival.

Sentinel: How did the Waterfront Film Festival get started?

DePree: It started about 15 years ago. I made an independent film and had some success with that. I took it all over the world to different film festivals. My sisters and some friends continued to take it on the (festival) circuit, and spent about a year and a half doing it.
