Zeeland's Gentex Corp. reports record financial growth for past 12 months

The Holland Sentinel reports that Zeeland-based Gentex Corp says sales and profits are up over the past 12 months.

Zeeland-based Gentex Corp. is again reporting record financial results, this time for both the third quarter and first nine months of 2011.

For the third quarter, the all-time record net sales increased by 30 percent to $269.5 million, compared to $206.8 million in the 2010 third quarter. At the same time, the gross profit margin increased from 35.2 percent in the second quarter to 35.4 percent in the third quarter, the company reported Thursday morning.
