New Holland restaurant cooks up breakfast, brunch specialties

Downtown Holland continues to grow and thrive, adding new retail and residential to the core city, and a new breakfast shop specializing in home baked goodies may be just what’s needed to round out offerings for visitors and locals alike.

According to excerpts from the story:

Tracy Gerow has fond memories of making treats with her mother and grandmother, later refining her craft at a Denver culinary school where she met her husband.

In early June, the Holland couple will open The Biscuit, a new cafe with a breakfast and brunch emphasis in Washington Square.

The name of the restaurant, to be located in the former Karla’s Place, at 450 Washington Ave., derives from the restaurant’s focus on biscuits that will be made at the start of each day.
