The Grand Rapids Press reports that the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors says home sales and home prices have increased.

Grand Rapids area home sales in September homes continued to outpace the same month last year in both closed sales and purchase agreements. According to data released Monday by the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors, 711 homes were sold last month, up 13 percent from last year's 629. Septembers' average sale price was $121,857, down 5.4 percent from last year's $115,506.
