We are seeking an individual to fill a Quality Engineer Assistant position on 1st shift. Qualifications we are looking for are in this candidate are: The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, have a minimum of 2 years experience, and/or some engineering college courses (preferred). Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and FilePro. Responsibilities for the position will include: Assisting the Quality Department to assure customer requirements are planned and implemented during the purchasing and inspection of products, reviewing contracts and recommending changes to the Quality Department, reviewing Bill of Materials for needed changes, implementing clauses for Borisch's Quality Planning System, and preparing for qualification reporting.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates are enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Chemical Engineering. Qualified candidates possess basic scientific and problem solving ability, are knowledgeable in standard laboratory practice and procedures, have good computer skills and good interpersonal skills. Previous interns worked on process and quality improvement, proved feasibility of single tank emulsion process for PC product, implemented process revisions in manufacturing plants, investigated lean opportunities for process improvements, and investigated methods of optimizing manufacturing processes. In addition, Interns have analyzed process stability, evaluated product characteristics using Microscopy, Rheology, and Turbiscan Analysis. They have evaluated chemical replacements in products, evaluated novel, non-electric technologies that are used to disinfect water by the removal or destruction of bacteria, viruses, and cysts. Amway interns follow protocol to prepare, run, and analyze samples for our various products. Previous projects have also included developing extraction processes of elderberry juice concentrate and grains through a series of separation systems, creating process flow diagrams for extraction and separation processes, investigating various separation systems, and developing microscale anthocyanin assays using method of spectrophotometry.
