Amway offers a variety of Research and Development internship opportunities. Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific disciplines.
Requirements:
Previous laboratory work or research experience is preferred. Qualified candidates possess basic scientific and problem solving ability, are knowledgeable in standard laboratory practices and procedures, have good computer and interpersonal skills and require minimal coaching. Qualified candidates should also be prepared to offer a technical presentation for the Amway R&D/QA group at the completion of the project. Previous projects have included: performance qualification validation on Celsis (rapid microbiology detection system), ATP bioluminescence technology to optimize the detection of microorganisms, analyzing and interpreting skin genomic data. Additional projects included discovery and development of novel concepts in skin care based on pathway, literature, patent, and computer analysis. As well as researching and implementing touch-sensing switches as replacement to tactile switches while exploring reliability factors. Other interns have developed and validated methods for quantitative analysis of vitamins by Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) in finished granulation and tablet form.
