Working for a small company requires me to have multi-faceted responsibilities. My primary role is to design print media such as brochures and marketing materials, books, catalogs, corporate identity packages, etc. We also offer web services for our clients. As a print brokering company, I am the sole designer and also manage the production of many of the jobs; working with both the client and vendor to produce the final product.

As an adjunct instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design, I teach one class per semester to incoming freshman. I teach the fundamentals of design and the basics of professional design programs - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I love having the opportunity as I was in college not too long ago and can still relate with the new students. As a working professional, I can mentor them and inform them of current events in the industry.

 

I am responsible for the Accounts Payable portion of the Accounting Department at Hoekstra Transportation. I currently enter and pay invoices; cut weekly checks to various vendors; prepare financial and other work related reports; prepare year-end journal entries; and reconcile accounts annually. My job title requires time management, organizational skills, accountability, and honesty.

 

I am responsible for leasing, daily management of Tenant related issues, event scheduling, etc.

 

I am in charge of recruiting for a wide variety of IT, Engineering, Finance and Biotechnology positions, roles, and skill sets. I am responsible for sourcing, negotiations, interviewing, coordinating client interviews, hiring, tracking, and managing resources.

 

I am responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the conference and guest housing programs for the Office of Housing and Residence Life. The position serves as a liaison to business services, operations, facilities, and residence life functions. The position is also responsible for selection, training, and supervision of conference staff.

 

I am responsible for the scale up of new cosmetic products into full scale production.  My work includes: designing experiments, making batches of new products, testing and changing key parameters to obtain a desired outcome, keeping track of data, constant improvement of current products, and being involved in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.  My position requires: a Chemical Engineering degree, problem solving skills, teamwork skills, organization skills, taking initiative, good work ethic, the ability to see the big picture of product development, and the ability to handle multiple assignments at once.

 

I am responsible for the distribution activities of personal care and home care products to markets around the world.  My job includes ensuring that product produces on time and in the correct quantities based on
forecast and that shipments arrive to the market at the appropriate time to maintain stable inventory levels. This includes daily communication with my counterparts all over the globe. I am also involved with
the supply chain planning piece of new product launches.

 

I am a web developer at Ignition Workshop. We supply our clients with custom web solutions to provide them with a presence on the internet and an avenue for online marketing.

My job is to transform the design composition into a fully-functional website using the latest web technologies. I enjoy keeping up on the new, fresh, ideas to incorporate into my designing and programming. I am constantly challenging myself and I love learning anything I can.

 

I develop and implement solutions for public and private clients engineering needs.  I consult clients through planning, funding acquisition, design and construction stages of their projects.

 

An orthopaedic nurse is responsible for the care of 4-6 patients on the unit during his or her shift. A majority of the patients on this unit are postoperative knee and hip replacements. The biggest responsibility of the orthopaedic nurse is pain management. Other responsibilities include aiding with activities of daily living, ambulation, and working with other healthcare teams like physical therapy to help the patient recover from their surgery and move either home or to a rehabilitation center for the rest of their recovery.

 

My role is principally focused on growing the company through new customer acquisition and the retention of the thousands of customers that have partnered with us over the last 28 years. This is primarily achieved by providing the leadership, coaching, and access to training and professional development opportunities needed to position our Sales Professionals for success. In addition to assisting in my team's sales efforts, I'm also responsible for our overall Marketing Strategy and Community Outreach efforts. Of course there are the spreadsheets, management meetings, and the other not-so-fun aspects of the job, but those are quickly tempered by the frequency with which we help our Customers lower their communications costs, grow revenue, improve communication, and provide enhanced Customer Service.

 

I fulfill a wide range of duties for sales, marketing, advertising and public relations. I'm responsible for managing inventory of internal and external promotions, fulfillment of contest prizes and vendor programs, maintaining barter agreements, assisting Sales Consultants and monitoring the sales expenses. I organize and participate in company events such as sales meetings, trade shows, sales awards, annual incentive trips, customer appreciation and promotional events. (i.e. Van Andel Arena Events, Muskegon Summer Celebration, Grand Rapids Griffins, Muskegon Fury, The DeVos Place, Lansing Common Grounds Festival, etc.). Overall, I help keep our current customers satisfied and drive revenue while maintaining our respectable corporate image.

 

I am a communications specialist in the Public Relations department of Amway, a Direct Sales company. I author articles on global trends relevant to the direct selling industry, as well as blog posts to inform media of issues and events at Amway. I contributed to the development of the official Amway social media policy.  I also support global affiliate visits to Amway headquarters.

 

As part of the College Talent Acquisition Team at Amway, I have three main client groups including: the students at target schools; career service professionals; and managers at Amway.  I spend half of the year at target college campuses educating the students and career service professionals about Amway’s Internship Program through various avenues including career fairs and corporate presentations.  Target majors include: R&D, Business, Supply Chain, and IT disciplines.  

The second half of the year is dedicated to the interns once their Summer Internship starts, creating programming and various opportunities to enrich their experience.  Some of the events our Interns can participate in include a Professional Development Series with Executives, a Reverse Career Fair, the West Michigan Intern Olympics and R&D lunch and learns. 

 

I am the head of our internet and phone sales for all four dealerships. I am also involved in client care follow-up, ensuring that every person who visits one of our showrooms has an excellent experience.  I track the success of our monthly sales, and work to develop strategies that help generate more business.
