Brent Shirey

Valentiger is a completely independent music organization.  Within it, I am firstly a traveling, performing singer/songwriter as well as studio engineer, producer, promoter, web site manager and graphic artist.  The work requires networking and social skills, dedication, consistency and creativity, with man-hours and effort well-exceeding that of a 40-hour work week.  The organization was very much built from the ground up beginning in 2002 with partner, Scott Rider, who handles nearly all booking, finances and most public relations within the operation.  The group averages 100+ performances per year, not including hosting a weekly open-mic night.  In addition, Valentiger tours the country both performing and promoting twice a year when not recording or producing new material.  In short, I write songs, seeing them through several stages until a physical form such as a compact disc or vinyl record is reached - even MP3.  My job thereafter is to sell the music in a way that is consistent with the values of our company.  In January 2010, I created ABOVEBOARD MUSIC in association with ASCAP to aid in copyright and licensing, landing a recent success with Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers.  The current ad campaign, Chevy Drives The Motor City, features Valentiger's "Leaving Town," airing regionally on FSN Detroit through November 2010.  The band's newest release is set for winter 2011, with a tour setup revolving around a showcase at SXSW in Austin, TX in association with Flying Dog Brewery.

Nicole Gram

As Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Broadway Grand Rapids, I am responsible for planning, development and implementation of all BGR marketing strategies, marketing communications, promotions and public relations activities, both external and internal. I oversee development and implementation of support materials and services for chapters in the area of marketing, promotions, sponsorships and public relations. I also direct the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations support staff, volunteers and coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of BGR.

Patsy Wallace

I am responsible for the professional work in the Public Museum's Facility Use division, managing profitable Facility Rentals and Event Coordination between clients and contracted vendors. My work includes monitoring and updating rental policies and procedures; hiring and supervising hospitality and event coordination staff; performing event planning and coordination; preparing financial and other reports; and purchasing Facility Use Event inventory, equipment, and supplies.
