Nathan Biller

As a member of the Strategic Projects Team within Steelcase's Global
Sourcing Department I have the opportunity to tackle a diverse range of
projects focused on enhancing our relationships with our strategic
partners while leaning out our multifaceted value streams.
This
means that on a daily basis I'm constantly switching gears, from
personal attention focused on specific suppliers' needs to an
overarching, paradigm shifting strategic brainstorming session with my
peers. While my title may say analyst, the position is really more
about combining ideas and theories from a mix of disparate disciplines
into a cohesive strategy that offers the best possible solution given
certain constraints.
I've found that the inimitable and enviable
Steelcase culture allows me to foster my current skill set while also
cultivating new areas of expertise. There are ample opportunities for
learning whether it's the state-of-the-art Steelcase University or
personal instruction for the many experts throughout Steelcase, and
I've been extremely fortunate to be able to take advantage of such
experiences many times. This culture of fostering personal and
professional growth not only allows me to grow in my current role but
also quickly prepares me for future roles and is a key reason why
Steelcase is considered to be the vanguard within the industry. In my
one year at Steelcase I have already changed my area of focus three
times as they're big on properly aligning personal interests with
corporate strategy. I look forward to and remain proud to say that I'm
developing my career with Steelcase, Inc.
