Anti-Valentine Fundraiser – Cat Scratch Fever

Saturday, Feb. 12, 8 PM
Why do I love Rev. Charles Preston Smith?

The obvious reason is that he is simply one of the funniest musicians in our community, proving year after year his ability to explore such depths of the human psyche in the pursuit of a good time. But most of all, he has one of the biggest heart-ons for felines.

Returning for the 10th year, the Anti-Valentine benefit for local feline rescue centers, Crash's Landing & Big Sids, will be filled with great music and a host of surprises best left unprinted to protect the guilty.

Due to a clash of cultures, the night will be jam-packed as league bowlers litter the lounge atmosphere and party-goers mingle, while being entertained by bands Ribbons of Song, Bad Dolly, Pain in the Neck, The Waxines and my favorite new act, Alexis.

Even the PotatoeBabies will present something fresh face when guitarist Michael Miller of the Truckstop Cobras will be bringing his surf rock style to The Clique.

As I get older, it becomes more and more apparent that while I cannot (safely) return to the days of college keggers, the next best thing is a Rev. Charles Preston Smith event where he not only promises a good time, but also goes above and beyond, always delivering his package.
