Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival: Just you and 100,000 of your friends at the Meijer Grand Parade

Saturday, Aug. 3, 11:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Downtown, Grand Haven
There are not many weekends left to get away to the lakeshore and if you are growing tired of quiet, long afternoons at the beach, might we suggest you head to the final weekend of the annual Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival.

And while this popular event has been running since last weekend, it is Saturday’s Meijer Grand Parade that is truly the high point of the festival.

With close to 100,000 people expected to attend this year, the streets of downtown Grand Haven will be alive with activity as this parade runs for two hours and includes marching bands, clowns, military units, local sports teams, personalities, dignitaries, and so many other groups.

Come out this weekend and see firsthand why this beach-friendly town is affectionately called “Coast Guard City, USA."

The Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival is an opportunity for community members to show their appreciation for the valuable service that the men and women of the United States Coast Guard provide to all of us each and every day on our Great Lakes to the high seas.
