Party for the Planet 2019: Local Earth Day becomes a nationwide collaborative event

John Ball Zoo, 1300 Fulton W

Saturday, Apr. 27, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

In my lifetime I have been a part of a lot of history-making and ambitious events, from marches on Washington to even being a part of Hands Across America in the 1980s.

And on Saturday, April 27, more than 120 zoos from all over the nation are linking up to create the largest Earth Day celebration when Party for the Planet debuts here at our John Ball Zoo.

Activities are still being produced at press time for this Earth Day event, but as with past events at our local zoo, the folks at John Ball always have plenty for children as well as adults to enjoy on this special occasion when the world pauses to focus on the needs of our planet.

The party activities are free for all with each paid general admission.
