Laketown Township, MI — Less than a month after voters overturned a 19-year-old ban on alcohol sales in Laketown Township, the first liquor license request has been received by the township planning commission.

Elizabeth Smith, owner of 64th Street Bakery and Cafe/Hidden Treasure Antiques, 3604 64th St., submitted a special use request for facility improvements, including an expansion of the bakery/cafe area, a separate pizza restaurant, outdoor seating, second-story antique sales and the liquor license.
