No one is naming names. But two innovative firms incubating in GVSU’s alternative energy research center are ready for prime time. If the companies stay in Michigan, they could help bolster the state’s fledgling green power sector.

Two project currently in incubation at the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center are about to leave the nest.

According to MAREC Executive Director Imad Mahawili, the companies may have a huge impact on the development of alternative energy.

“They could be huge in creating economic wealth,” Mahawili told MiBiz.com. “They’re funded, and the technology is proven. They’ve been cooking for two years.”
