According to the story:
The Kent County Road Commission received a $650,000 check from the Michigan Department of Transportation Tuesday morning.
It's part of a program Governor Granholm initiated in July to jump-start local road construction projects and create jobs.
The projects are on Kalamazoo Avenue, 68th Street, Cascade Road and on Patterson.
Local road officials say the money also helps with other projects as well.
