My primary responsibility at Davenport University is to provide web-enabled solutions for students, faculty and staff. These custom solutions are tailored to the individual client's need and are designed to help foster a successful learning environment. Many of these projects are developed using the open source web technology, Drupal. The Drupal framework allows me to focus on a client's functional requirements without sacrificing quality while adhering to best practices. As a young internet system architect I spend a large portion of my time researching the latest developments in Drupal, social media and web development. I use these skills to build applications that are both functionally sound and not overly difficult to use. I have been given a unique opportunity at Davenport University to build applications that keep students connected using integration techniques with social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Flicker. This allows student to stay in touch with the University whether they are in the classroom or online.
