Happy Thanksgiving

Rapid Growth will be taking a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday. We're going to knock off our holiday shopping with our brand new Local First Coupon Books. It's a great way to support your community and get to know the neighborhoods. We like ours so much that we've made them available right here on Rapid Growth.

(Update Nov. 26: We're having some difficulties with our e-commerce system. We hope to have this resolved soon. In the meantime, please see below for a list of brick-and-mortar locations.)

Contact Elissa at 616.808.3788 for bulk orders.

We first wrote about the coupon books in July. For more information, read on:

A Local First Treasure Map
This fall, the group will be stepping up its efforts to position locally owned and operated businesses in the forefront of residents’ minds with a new promotion designed to deliver the ultimate item for savvy local shoppers: A book packed with coupons for thousands of dollars of savings at Local First member businesses.

“Often times people assume locally owned shops are more expensive,” says Elissa Hillary, Local First executive director. “We’re going to contradict this myth and also educate and provide incentives for shopping locally.”

An initial run of 10,000 books will sell for $15 a piece. The books will feature savings coupons created exclusively for use at Local First businesses and also provide valuable information on “greening” your lifestyle. All members of Local First are invited to participate in the promotion and Hillary expects most of its 375 members to take advantage of the opportunity.
