Let’s face it. For all our talk of big, Grand Rapids is still the best little-small-big town with a few moments of grandness. Well, maybe our grandness is growing, but that comfort of a friendly small town is still there.

And while there have been many occasions to look around a party to see the wave of new faces migrating to this region, there are few places in town where you can get a million dollar view for simply the price of a drink.

Cygnus 27 provides such a view from high atop the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and recognizes that people crave community. As such, they are spicing up their first party of the year with a dash of vamp.

Inspired by Michigan’s Valentine Vodka’s iconic pin-up girl logo, the Red Party will forgo the anything-goes style of some of the other parties and take on a very rockabilly-inspired theme.

Getting that rockabilly pin-up look might be easier than you think as local merchants and event partners Moxie and Leigh’s offer a variety of fashions to suit you up in style for this party.

And who can stand up to Detroit’s Valentine Vodka girl’s prowess more than our very own Delilah DeWylde? Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys will rock out — and in ways that would get any other guest kicked out of this venue. It is going to be rowdy up there, 27 stories in the air!

Guests who dress up will be eligible to win the Red Party’s pin-up style contest, which will include many fabulous prizes like a lavish stay at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel!

And if you overplay your hand at the Valentine Bar and don’t want to drive home, you can always take advantage of the great $129 room rate at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel being offered to attendees on the evening of this event. Use promo code CYGSIG when booking.

Admission: Free, but be a sport and wear something red. It’s a party, not a wake.
