Cygnus 27 celebrates Grand Re-opening
No more jacket and tie required. Grand Rapids’ only restaurant that sits high above the city lights is contemporary, chic, and open for business.
According to excerpts from the story:
Fashions from 20 years ago may be back in vogue, but the revamped Cygnus 27 has shed its tired 1980s look for a new atmosphere that is contemporary and hip.
The restaurant atop the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel closed July 1 for renovations and will reopen to the public Tuesday.
“We’ve actually transformed the place from this sort of ’80s throwback feel to a very modern, contemporary, celestial type environment,” said Chad LeRoux, the hotel’s director of marketing.
One thing hasn’t changed: the panoramic view of Grand Rapids and the river.
Bowen said the change in Cygnus 27 is the most dramatic he can recall in his 18-year history with the hotel.
