The new JW Marriot isn’t the only major development rising along Campau Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids. Right next door to the high-end hotel construction workers also are busy building 50,000 square feet of new office space in the heart of the city. The development is projected to cost $6.5 million.
Major tenants in the building will include Crowe Chizek, an accounting and financial consulting firm, and Wolverine Oil and Gas. Although as much as 26,000 square feet of riverfront, penthouse office space remains available for five- and ten-year leases. When combined with the existing building at 55 Campau, the new construction brings the amount of office space available on the property to 120,000 square feet. Completion is scheduled for fall 2007.
