Grand Landing, a $70 million, 20-acre development situated beside the Grand River at the corner of US-31 and Jackson Street, is billed as Grand Haven's northern gateway.
This September, the developers expect to complete Phase 1 which includes The Village—a mixed-use building with retail on the main level and one- to three-bedroom condo flats above—and Adams Street Row Houses featuring private patios, front porches, and two-car garages.
Phase 2 breaks ground in 2008, with the all-main-level condos at Harbor View, Waterfront condos fronting the South Channel, and a nine-story Tower featuring penthouses and condos on the upper levels and a hotel on the lower levels.
"This will be a resort atmosphere with summer homes, boaters, and weekend getaway residences," said Jamie Frank, residential sales consultant. "The Grand Haven boardwalk will connect pedestrians from Grand Landing to the downtown."
The 130 condominiums vary in size from 767-square-foor units to a 4,000-square-foot penthouse. Prices run from the $180s to $1 million. Thirty percent of the residences in The Village building have been purchased; 60 others throughout the development are reserved.
Signature shops, an amphitheater for summer concerts and winter ice-skating, cafés, ice cream parlors, and a stand-alone restaurant round out the entertainment options.
"This is a place to shop, dine, live," Frank said.
Craig Adams and Don Knapp are the developers. Rockford Construction and Platinum Construction are handling the construction. Architect Art Miller created the conceptual drawings.
