Boutique shop expands in Center City, again

In one of the more compelling entrepreneurial success stories about the potential for local business in downtown Grand Rapids, the Little Bohemia shop recently expanded floor space and merchandise.

Owner Terri Wierenga originally started her business in 1992 selling beads from a small storefront. She steadily grew the business by adding clothing, jewelry, gifts, and books. After knocking out a wall earlier this summer, the store recently grew again by adding a shoe boutique. The move marks at least the third relocation and/or expansion for the business since it began operation fourteen years ago.

Today, Wierenga manages three separate stores – one located in Saugatuck, one in Woodland Mall, and one located downtown at 40 Monroe Center. Little Bohemia also is in the process of upgrading their Website at www.littlebohemiaonline.com.
