ArtServe's new staff member to focus on public policy and advocacy for the creative community

ArtServe Michigan has hired Sarah Gonzales Triplett as the the new Director of Public Policy.

Triplett will be responsible for the strategic direction of ArtServe's advocacy for Michigan's creative economy. Her responsibilities will include promoting the arts and the creative community as a strategic economic asset in Michigan. In her role, Triplett will work directly with state and federal governments and local nonprofits.

According to Jennifer Goulet, president & CEO of ArtServe MI, Triplett will be working on several projects -- including funding professional development for artists -- that will have a direct impact on West Michigan. 

"In the last two years, we have solidified the economic importance our work, now we want to work with private sector for more growth opportunities. How can we build programs at the state level that will help give creatives the opportunity to flourish?"

Past work has included programming though ArtPrize and Kendall College of Art & Design.

Prior to joining ArtServe, Triplett served as the Assistant Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation.

ArtServe Michigan is a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to cultivating the creative potential of Michigan's arts and cultural sector and creative industries to enhance the public health and well-being of Michigan, its people, and communities.
