GVSU hires advanced battery expert to help lead Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center

The Muskegon Chronicle reports that in its quest to keep its Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center on the cutting edge of developments in the region, Grand Valley State University has brought on an expert in advanced battery technology.

According to excerpts from the story:

After an exhaustive national search, the Grand Valley State University renewable energy center has appointed an associated director. Suresh Mani Suresh Mani has been named the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center associate director of research and technology. He joined the Muskegon-based energy center last week.

Mani comes to West Michigan at an opportune time considering his expertise and technology interests. He is a chemical engineer with an extensive background in the advanced battery sector while three battery plants are being developed in the region.
