Muskegon restaurateur opens gourmet hot dog stand in renovated A&W drive-in

A restaurateur from a family of longtime restaurateurs has returned to his roots with the launch of a new eatery, just in time for summer patrons.

According to excerpts from the story:

Kyle Buris explains his plan to open a new Lakeside fast-food outlet this way: The restaurant business simply runs through his "Greek veins." After a number of years out of his family's U.S. 31 Bar-B-Q restaurant business, the 51-year-old Buris is returning to the trade with Friday's opening of Max-N-Marley's Dog House, 1950 Lakeshore. He leaves a production position with the Cannon-Muskegon Corp. to open the gourmet hot dog stand in the heart of the Lakeside business district.

His wife Rondi's position as coordinator of the emergency room at Mercy Hospital allows him to follow his "passion" for food, Buris said. "I have been extremely blessed to be in position to do this in the community in these economic times," Buris said. "This has ended up being my retirement plan."
