I am an insurance sales agent by trade. My responsibilities include analyzing customer needs, and preparing estimates for policies that best fit the customer, seeking opportunities for agency growth, attending promotional special events, underwriting risks, and building lasting relationships with customers. I sell a variety of standard and specialty property and casualty insurance policies. Among the policies I offer are home, auto, manufactured home, travel trailer, luxury motor coach, dwelling fire, specialty homeowners, vacant properties, landlord and rental properties, ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and watercraft. This position suits an individual with high ambition and self-discipline, initiative, a passion for building relationships, excellent communication skills, an attentive ear, and a need for personal achievement.
When I am not working at Farmers, I am an entrepreneur. I plan to open a whole foods bakery and cafe in mid-2011. I love the entrepreneur spirit in the Grand Rapids area. There is an unbelievable amount of support and knowledge from area leaders, and an unlimited supply of mentor opportunities. I would encourage anyone interested in building a new business to seek out the resources available in the GR area for new ventures.
