Making it clear that collaboration does not mean combining, two neighboring chamber of commerces look for added synergy by working together.
According to excerpts from the Holland Sentinel:
The Holland and Zeeland chambers of commerce are looking for more opportunities to come together but not combine.
For two years, the two boards of directors have reviewed ways to collaborate and surveyed the members of the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce and Zeeland Chamber of Commerce to see the amount of support for collaboration.
"We are collaborating, not combining," Zeeland chamber President Jim Schoettle said. "That word, 'combined‚' gives a lot of different thoughts to a lot of different people. What would a different framework look like? We have to get into these discussions."
