Organic market, "Nourish," opens on Grand Rapids' Wealthy Street

A Grand Rapids Press article says that a new organic market on Wealthy Street stands ready to offer the neighborhood the best in healthy food options.

According to excerpts from the story:

Sheri Rop was addicted to flour and sugar for most of her adult life. Then she started eating organic food about five years ago, and she noticed an eye-opening change. She felt her obsessions with sweets and carbs diminish and felt more normal about eating after filling up on chemical-free foods. She's been trying to raise awareness about organic foods ever since. Her endeavors have led her to open Nourish Organic Market, 634 Wealthy St. SE in Grand Rapids, which will offer organic items such as fruits and vegetables and grass-fed meat and dairy products. Its soft opening is set for June 29.

"When I started eating real food, just astoundingly I suddenly had a normal relationship with food," said Rop, 63. "I said, 'Well, maybe there's a business here to help people get access to all these products.'"
