Holland’s Renewable Energy Technologies could produce 8,000 gallons of ethanol by end of year

A report in the Holland Sentinel says that a local Holland technology company is on track to produce its first 8,000 gallons of ethanol yet this year.

According to excerpts from the story:
Renewable Energy Technologies LLC had hoped to produce ethanol in Holland by now, but building issues sent the company back to the market to find a new home.

Now ethanol could be in production by the end of the year.

Earlier this year, the company identified a 95,000-square-foot empty factory on 40th Street to turn sugar and alcohol-based waste into ethanol. When that fell through, a much larger building — with 173,000 square feet — became available at 545 E. 32nd St.
