Sleepy Hollow: 90th season is not a snooze fest

Thursday - Sunday, Oct. 29 - Nov. 1
Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is in the midst of its 90th season as one of the nation’s top community theater organizations and it is time to revisit this local gem. With the addition of the Youth Musical feature Sleepy Hollow, there is not a better time than now to get in the theatre if you are seeking to enhance your Halloween festivities this weekend.

What makes this updated version of the popular Washington Irving classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow so perfect for a modern audience is the present day setting of Halloween night, where a cast of three children are transported back to 18th century New Amsterdam, New York or, as it will forever be known after, Sleepy Hollow.

Before they will be brought back to the present, these three will have to navigate through a series of events set to song in the hope that only those destined to lose their heads do so.

Sleepy Hollow closes on Sunday, Nov. 1 so do not delay getting tickets. If you do, then you will lose your chance to see a fresh new production debuting on the Civic Theatre stage for the very first time in our city.

Here is a thrilling preview promoting this fresh new theatrical work debuting on Civic’s stage.

Admission: $10 and up
