All4One: Take a Walk on the Healthy Path

Over the last two decades, our options for healthy living have increased at such a fast pace that it is almost impossible to catalog all the changes.

One East Grand Rapids business, Seva Yoga, has made huge strides in this area. Not only does Seva offer offer a full spectrum of yoga classes with a team of local and guest instructors, but in the last few years, founder Michele Fife has advanced a series of health-focused programming, aggressively advocating for healthy patterns in our region.

On Saturday, Fife and a with a team of volunteers will host the third All4One festival, celebrating our diversity and interconnectedness with local retailers, artists, crafters, performers and nonprofit organizations all seeking to raise awareness while doing some good.

Unlike other festivals, which can be a free-for-all when it comes to the vendors who often line the sidewalks, Fife is hosting this health-focused event at the EGR High School Memorial field with activities including outdoor yoga classes, cooking demonstrations from area restaurants and a full docket of live music from acts including Wa Zo Bia, Susan Picking, Michael Schaffer, Rick Beerhorst & The Wealthy Orphans, Fly Paper and Green Chi.

Also performing throughout the day will be the Atomic Hoop Troupe, Aerial for Me and Grand Rapids Belly Dance.

“While our admission is suggested, we will have a variety of auction items for people to bid on as we seek to raise a lot of money for our charity partners,” said Fife. “But our main goal is to show people first-hand how living healthy and well is easy and an option for everyone. All4One showcases the great local resources we have in West Michigan to help us on this path.”

This year, all proceeds will benefit Sasha Farms near Ann Arbor and the Farm Sanctuary. Due to the droughts, these farms are suffering from a loss of pasture and could use an extra dollar or two now more than ever.

The first 150 paid admissions to this rain-or-shine event will receive a free reusable bag courtesy of Natural Awakenings Magazine (limit one per family). This event, while canine friendly with treats and fresh water, will only admit those furry friends that are on a leash.

Admission: FREE, but event organizers suggest a donation of $5.
