For the last eight years, Reverend Charles of The PotatoeBabies has grabbed Santa by the balls and presented one of the most unholiest of celebrations of the Christmas season. If you are easily offended, then this is not your slice of angel food cake -- unless you like your cake dipped in the beer that Santa was just dipping his jingle balls in (and on stage).
Okay, he doesn’t really dip his real ones, but this rock 'n roll master of vaudeville has perfected the role of West Side Agent Provocateur with his band and the guest artists who will be on the newly renovated stage at the Clique Lanes this Saturday.
And just like every year, there will be free Santa hats, stickers, xxXmas CDs, and of course, Krampus (played by the Rev’s very real 86-year-old father), who hands out vintage Playboys to attendees.
For this show, you can not only expect to hear sets from guest artists Murder Party and Uber Lube, but during the PotatoeBabies' set, watch the Xmas debut of the Westside Holiday Wipe, an automatic toilet paper blower!
You won’t want to be late to this always-packed holiday show. To those who do score seats close the stage, you get what you deserve for being good groupies. You’ve been warned.
(Double Your Pleasure: There is also a second 21+ Westside Christmas PotatoeBabies show at the Flamingo Lounge Dec. 22.)
Admission: All ages, $5
