Grand Rapids Beer Crawl: Annual Santa invasion takes flight

What is better than seeing a bus full of Santas race by you on a Saturday night? Being on a bus full of Santas, and you are one of them.

Each holiday season, the Grand Rapids Bar Crawl (GRBC) hosts a special St. Nicholas edition of their popular pub hop event where attendees are encourage to dress up like Santa Claus.

What makes this bar tourism service stand out in our region is the level of theatre built into each event that GRBC creates, as guests receive a curated evening with plenty of theatrical and Instagram-worthy moments.

GRBC’s event staff produces each event built upon years of solid relationships with venues in the region, creating a no-waiting-in-line-Santa-as-celebrity experience as you are whisked past the bouncer, who might even hold the door for you.

And while I cannot say what they're planning, since it is all on the down-low, one thing I can reveal is that GRBC always find interesting venues and activities every time for their pub crawls.

In the past this Santa Crawl has taken guests on a whirlwind drinking tour around the city, with stops to ride a mechanical bull, roller skating, and even some bowling... you just never know what we have in store.

Plus, while you’re on board the bus, the holiday spirit continues as you and your fellow Santas dive into some really festive group games.

If you are new in town or just hoping to make some new friends, then this is a great event for you.
