What are you doing on New Year’s Eve? For one lucky contestant of Grand Rapids Big Talent, they can say they’re debuting on the big stage at HOT 104.5 FM’s #NYE Party.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, the auditions have to occur -- and on Sunday at the Peter Wege Theatre (home of the Grand Rapids Ballet), the journey to the NYE stage will begin for one lucky talent of our city.
Hosted again by the Arena District, the 2015 Grand Rapids Big Talent competition commemorates the 5th time this event has been held in our city and shows no sign of slowing down.
Sign up here to become a contestant or simply show up to watch the action all day long at the Wege Theatre.
If, after a few Bloody Marys (from one of the many bars serving them every Sunday in the Arena District), you decide you want to audition but did not pre-register, no worries as they allow walk-in auditions after 3 p.m.
If you enjoyed the event or simply cannot make this Sunday work, have no worries, as the finale round will be next month on November 14th and will once again be held at the same location.
The top prizes are cash but the really fun part is not the money but the opportunity to see so much amazing talent in one place at one time.
