Beholder: The Second Coming at Gaspard

Friday, Dec. 6, 6 - 11 p.m.
There seems to be a bit of a printing revolution going on in the city and it is the beautifully small addition of area print shops -- from Issue Press to those who showcase these creations like Have Company -- that are turning heads in our region and outside it.

Joining the ranks of this swell is Gaspard Gallery who’ll be showcasing the new release of one of its artists, photographer Chris Cox, whose new book Beholder is released on Friday night.

This new book from Cox follows much of the same path of his, previous one, Spiritual Lake, in that proceeds from the book sales help fund the production and exhibition of the images contained within. (Rapid Growth covered Spiritual Lake’s exhibition at Gaspard early this year.)

“[In] this book the works included are a means for me to start developing a new body of work,” says Cox, who believes this method of development is ideal for him. “The works included in Beholder give an insight into this body of work at large, although it really is just a small look into what will become a fully developed portfolio.”

This newest book by Cox is designed by Ben Biondo and is limited to just 150 copies. Copies will be sold at the Gaspard Gallery for $25 Each on Friday night and any remaining books will appear on their website at a later date.
