Thriller! Chiller! Film Festival

Thursday - Saturday, Oct. 24 -26
There are many products by which a city is remembered or recalled. We have had our share of chairs that travel about the world today; we even have had our share of Amway salesman jokes (although this one tends to be reserved these days for audiences like the aging David Letterman and his sect.)

But one reputation that is carried forward is that which we crate by what we do and not just make happen.

This is true of Thriller! Chiller! Film Festival who this year will be in the unique spot of presenting one of the most advanced film festivals of our region with solid critical approve for their programming of a festival devoted to genre filmmaking, but this year they see a record number of directors from all over the world showing not only a film, but their returns marks their second such venture at the festival with these mates bring a fresh crop of new works to Grand Rapids.

Thriller! Chiller! 2013 brings more than 60 international short and feature films to Wealthy Theatre again with their exciting mix of downright edge of your seat awesome to the downright campy as seen in their free screening and festival kick off film, Night of the Living Dead.

There is a lot to choose from this year but the insider’s edge says that Friday nights’ Best Feature nominee “Buck Wild” complete with a special edition of My Two ‘Bloody’ Cents will pack the house as it will offer a post-screening conversation hosted by MLive’s film critic John Serba with the film’s director Tyler Glodt.  In addition, also debuting that night will be the World Premiere of Thriller! Chiller!’s Boomstick Award-winning Director Daniel E. Falicki's (“GR30K”) newest film Devil's in the Darkness in the main theatre. (Bravo, Danny!)

Be sure to visit Thriller!’s website for a complete list of all the films and special programming they have in store including the recreation of the Drive In experience for one night’s programming.
