Within our city is a jewel of a venue that many I believe don’t fully appreciate until after they have been able to sit in it.
It is not as if the programming is not there to capture your attention. No, I believe it’s more than likely due to it’s off the beaten path of where most tend to trend in the downtown region of Grand Rapids.
And once you do attend a concert at St. Cecilia Music Center, then you will know firsthand what every musician who I’ve interviewed over the years say about it. It is quite honestly one of the most acoustically perfect venues this side of New York.
St. Cecilia welcomes Shawn Colvin back to Grand Rapids for a special night of acoustic music from a performer who mixes in original award-winning music with fantastic covers by other artists.
Colvin’s tour arrives on the heels of her latest release of
Uncovered - a similarly themed album of songs from other artists and in the vein of her
Cover Girl release from 22 years ago. Look for songs from Bruce Springsteen, Neil Finn and Creedence Clearwater Revival to pop up in this special night of music.

The Acoustic Cafe Series by Rob Reinhart, who will bring his internationally syndicated radio show to St. Cecilia’s Royce Auditorium for a live taping of this concert.
