Restore the Rapids receives federal funding

The Grand River is one of 10 waterway sites in the U.S. to receive federal funding for restoration. 

According to an excerpt from the article:

The estimated $27 million effort to restore the rapids in the Grand River has a new supporter: the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Urban Waters Federal Partnership. 

The partnership selected the Grand River restoration project along with 10 other urban waterway sites around the country to receive coordination and resources support from more than a dozen different federal agencies.
